Bellevue Downtown Park

Bellevue Downtown Park

The park is an excellent location to spend time with the family! Residents of Bellevue, Lakewood, Seattle, Brier, and Lynnwood flock to Eastside Park and Promenade for its 640-acre size and diverse amenities. The park’s centerpiece is a 432-foot waterfall that plunges into a reflecting pool before draining into a basin. Bellevue’s skyline and Mount Rainier in the distance provide a beautiful backdrop while the charming play area and formal gardens provide family entertainment while also acting as a setting for neighborhood gatherings.

The park also has an extensive network of hiking and biking trails that are perfect for exploring the natural beauty of the area. The trail system connects to other nearby parks, making Eastside Park and Promenade a great starting point for a day of adventure. In addition to the trails, the park also features a disc golf course, basketball courts, a baseball field, and a playground. Whether you’re looking for a place to picnic or just want to enjoy the scenery, Eastside Park and Promenade is the perfect spot!

The playground incorporates features that stimulate the senses and create an inclusive environment. The water feature is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day until Labor Day, thanks in part to Bellevue Rotary Club’s addition of an innovative play area to the park’s original playground. This allows children of all ages and skill levels to play together and explore at their leisure. Bellevue’s Eastside Park & Promenade not only has a lighted basketball court and an off-leash dog area but also features a skateboarding paradise and spray ground that is open until Labor Day!

The Bellevue Downtown Park offers two free parking lots for the Downtown Park, both of which are near the Inspiration Playground. The main lot is on 100th Avenue NE and has an entrance on 100th between NE 4th Street and NE 1st Street. The secondary lot is located adjacent to the playground on Northeast 1st Street between Northeast 1st and 100th avenues. This parking area is immediately adjacent to the playground.

Did you know that Downtown Park has over 140 park benches? Many of which have been provided as a result of the Donation Bench Program. Due to the popularity of the program and the number of benches in the park, they’ve discontinued it at Downtown Park, so they are no longer taking applications. This is the ideal place to stop on your journey through Bellevue, Washington, and the whole family will enjoy their visit!
