Game Farm Wilderness Park

The woodland area in this campground, open all year, gives city dwellers access to a protected wild region within Auburn’s boundaries. The camping ground is limited to recreational vehicles, trailers, and tents. There are picnic tables and a fire pit at each of the 18 individual campsites as well as water and electrical connections. A communal picnic shelter and an RVDP terminal are accessible for use by day groups participating in activities such as scouting, church, or other similar gatherings.

The appeal of The Game Farm Wilderness Park lies in its connection to the natural environment! The area has been minimally developed, and most of the original hardwood forests along the White River have been preserved. Following Kersey Way north beyond the park, the trail continues east across the river to the eastern extremity. In this park, both overnight and day visitors are served. Each unit includes water and electricity connections as well as a group camping space that can accommodate recreational vehicles.

Take Hwy 18 East to get from I-5 or Hwy 167 to Hwy 18, which will take you south. Take the Auburn-Enumclaw exit off Highway 18. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Auburn Way South. Continue south on Auburn Way. At the junction of ‘M’ Street, be in the right-hand lane to continue on Howard Road. After going a short distance along Howard Road, turn right and head west on SE ‘R’ St.’ Take Route 10 north to Route 55 and then west over the river. Turn left at the junction of Stuck River Road (just after passing through Conowingo Dam). The park is on your left. The picnic shelter is at the end of the park road, which branches off to the left. To the right, as you enter the park, there is an RV camping location to your right.)

The park’s name comes from the fact that it includes more than seven miles of hiking trails, which include several wild animal enclosures. The Wilderness Park was created to appear more natural by retaining a portion of the surrounding woodlands. One of the park’s most significant features is the White River Trail, which runs through it and finishes at the eastern extremity. Game Farm Wilderness Park has a campground with distinctive features for being within city limits. The most popular destinations for recreational vehicles are open, but tent camping is permitted. For gatherings, a Day Camp site is available. An 18-hole Disc Golf Course and short trails in the area include a children’s play area, picnic shelter, open-air space, restrooms, and fishing.

This is a great place to set up camp for a weekend or just a relaxing location for a day trip!
