The 14,000-acre Squak Mountain Regional Park is a hidden gem in Enumclaw, located on the beautiful Green River east of Auburn. Wooded walking and horse paths, as well as open fields for play and views of the fall salmon, runs and exquisite summer swimming, fishing, and simply relaxing are all available here.
Flaming Geyser, a day-use park hosting company barbecues, birthday parties, and family reunions, has four group picnic areas. These areas can each seat 50 people and be booked for special events. Flaming Geyser’s uniqueness comes from its location around a cluster of formerly active methane seeps– visitors will find interpretive panels about the ongoing vitality of Earth’s planet at the site.
Green River Flaming Geyser State Park is a freshwater beachfront park that occupies 503 acres. Visitors can stay for the day or buy an annual Discover Pass at the automated pay station. Please note that there is an alcohol ban which strictly enforced throughout the picnic shelters and other areas of the park. With only one week’s notice, a park ranger might take visitors on Flaming Geyser and river excursions. The Salmon Interpretive Trail is also self-guiding and compliant with American Disability Act standards! There’s even an open area for horseback riding and a remote-control model airplane flying field! This park has everything imaginable.
