Support

The Garage Door Opener Does NOT Operate From The Wall Console.

  • Verify that Sure-Lock™ is turned OFF.
  • Check the power source.
  • Test the power outlet with a lamp. If the lamp works, the power source is functional. If not, inspect the fuse or circuit breaker.
  • If the power source is confirmed to be functional:
    • Check connections at the powerhead terminals and wall console.
    • Inspect for reversed, broken, or cut wires. Staples may damage insulation and cause shorts. Repair or replace as needed.

The Garage Door Opener Runs, But The Door Does Not Move.

  • Ensure the carriage is engaged with the chain/belt bullet.
  • Inspect the chain/belt for breakage or if it has come off the pulley.
  • Check all remote controls for functionality.
  • Replace remote batteries if needed.
  • Reprogram remotes to the powerhead.

The Garage Door Opener Remote Has Limited Range Or Does Not Operate.

  • Reposition the remote within the car or aim it directly at the garage door.
  • Replace the battery in the remote.
  • Adjust the position of the opener’s antenna.
  • Identify and eliminate possible signal interference (e.g., satellite radios).

The Garage Door Starts Down, Then Stops And Reverses.

  • For new installations, verify the Door Arm position.
  • Confirm that the limits are set correctly.
  • Check if the Safe-T-Beam® red LED is flashing.
  • Inspect the Safe-T-Beam® system for obstructions or misaligned lenses.
  • Examine the garage door for any binding.
  • If the opener does not close the door due to an operational problem:
    • Press and hold the wall control button until the door fully closes.
  • Look for interference from nearby Safe-T-Beam® units.

The Garage Door Starts Up, But Stops Before Fully Opening.

  • Confirm that limits are set properly.
  • Ensure the garage door, opener, and springs are in good condition, properly lubricated, and balanced.
  • Inspect the “FORCE” adjustment for closing.

WARNING: If there are issues with the garage door hardware or springs, consult a professional using a locator service. NEVER attempt to repair hardware or springs yourself.

The Garage Door Only Operates In The Closed Position.

  • Turn Sure-Lock™ OFF.
  • Verify the limits are set correctly.
  • Inspect the balance, condition, and springs of the garage door.
  • Adjust the “FORCE” setting for opening.

The Garage Door Opener Activates Without Input.

  • Check if a button is stuck on the wall control or remote.
  • If a remote has been lost or stolen:
    • Erase all remotes from the powerhead memory.
    • Program new remotes.

The Garage Door Opener Is Noisy During Operation.

  • Tighten all door fasteners.
  • Ensure the garage door is in good repair, properly lubricated, and balanced.
  • Confirm the opener is in good working condition.

The Garage Door Opener Operates Slowly.

  • Inspect the garage door for potential repair or adjustment needs.
  • If the opener is installed on a one-piece door, note that this model is not designed for such doors.
